And our journey through it.
Divine Justice
Good morning, Saints! God has filled me again this morning with wonderful insights through His Plan. As I was reading in Psalm 22, which Pastor Hagee has entitled ‘Psalm of the Cross’, I started to notice all the capital letters through out the chapter. Before when I read the verses, I just glanced over the capital letters not really “seeing” the meaning behind the capital letters. So I went back and reread the whole chapter again.
This is what I realized: This chapter in Psalms dealt with Christ’s death on the across, verse 1 is quoted quite often through the Easter celebration, but my mind didn’t really comprehend that David actually wrote about Jesus’ death way before He died, that could only have been God speaking through David, Church! Let’s look at some of the verses:
Psalm 22:9
“But You (Father) are He (Father) who took Me (Jesus) out of the womb; You (Father) made Me (Jesus) trust when I was on My (Jesus) mother’s breasts.
Verses 16-18:
“...They pierced My hands and My feet; (Jesus still has those scars) I count all My bones. (The soldiers didn’t have to break Jesus’ legs to make Him die faster—He had already given up His Life for us.) They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.”
The injustice and humility Jesus had to go through on that Cross was to satisfy Divine Justice.
“Jesus had to satisfy Divine Justice by His own “sinless” Blood, Body, and Life because to put down God’s wrath, judgment, hell, death, and everything evil, and to gain everything good, could not be done without satisfying Divine Justice” (Martin Luther)
When God pronounced judgment on Adam and Eve in the Garden, and even Satan himself, it was Divine Justice, the Law of Right and Wrong and had to have consequences for it. Even when God gave Moses the Law of Commandments, it was based on animal sacrifices—animal blood. It was for that time and space in God’s Plan. But NOW:
Romans 3:25 (NIV)
“God presented him (Christ) as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.” It is called the Law of Faith. (Romans 3:27)
We (Born Again Children of God) are justified by Faith “in” Christ and God’s Mercy. TRUTH and FACT, Saints. We can accept God’s Divine Justice through His Son, Jesus Christ.
