COMFORT

Good Morning Children of God.  The Lord gave me scripture this morning right when I needed it and it Blessed me so much I’d like to share it with you, today.

Staying in the Word of God and communicating with Him every day (in the quiet mornings for me) is a necessary TRUTH that needs to happen in all of our lives.  Without that strength, encouragement, comfort, and boldness for Christ through the Word we will be destine to fail in our walk with the Lord.

The world is in chaos as I’m writing this paper for you and myself.  And sometimes that chaos can get up close and personal in all of our lives.  Health issues; lack of finances for our needs; life coming at us faster than we think we can handle it, I could go on and on but that would be giving the enemy even more of a foot-hold in our lives and minds right now. Thinking negative is not the way to go; yes, there is negative and evil going on around us but dwelling on it makes it stronger in our minds and lives.  Jesus was NEVER negative!  Even when He was hanging on the Cross for our sins, His Love was shining through showing us how much God’s Children means to our Father in Heaven.  That right there gives us our faith and strength in a Loving Father Who will not let us go from His Hands.  When we think and dwell on that positive the negative has to flee. (James 4:7)  Our comfort comes in here also.

Let’s look at the Word now.  The Book of Isaiah seems to have two parts to it.  The first 39 chapters are filled with judgment upon immoral and idolatrous men, then the last 27 chapters declare a message of hope.  I believe our comfort comes from those chapters.  We are going to chapter 43 for now.

The title on this chapter (NKJ) is: “Comfort Because of Israel’s Restoration.”  The whole chapter is telling the Nation of  Israel, God’s People, what Blessings are in store for them when they turn their hearts back to God.  And Church, after Jesus Christ’s Blood Sacrifice and our acceptance of that Sacrifice and Love; we also became God’s Children.  We can also be comforted by God’s Words here in this chapter.

Isaiah 43:1-2

“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you Oh Jacob, and He who formed you, Oh Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”

What a comfort for Israel and for us!  God points out again: He created and formed us; we are not to fear evil!  He has redeemed us, we are His, and last but not least; He is ALWAYS with us through EVERYTHING!  Trials, tribulations, every situation in our lives are firmly in His Hands---IF we allow and will them to be.  We trust Him with our lives as well as our comfort.  Remember Church, Comfort and God’s Peace always comes from our heart/spirit when we allow God to rule and reign in our lives.

          Where do we begin?  By:
