The Holy Spirit and God's Children

Welcome again Church. Today I was reading in Isaiah, the spokesman for God, and a very informative Book of the Bible.

Isaiah had a prophetic ministry spanning about 40 years. The first part of the Book is filled with judgment upon immoral and idolatrous man—the whole earth has sinned. Not very much difference back then and now, is there? So judgment must come; for God cannot allow such blatant sin to go unpunished forever. Therefore prophecies of judgment are given to Isaiah for Judah; very dire prophecies. (In fact, “Judgment” prophecies are still here for today’s generations, remember, Revelations hasn’t happened yet so God’s Plan is still going on now.)

But, as God says Himself, “He will not leave us or forsake us.” Therefore the second part of the Book of Isaiah tells us of a “Redeemer” for our sinfulness—Jesus Christ—the Son of God. The Holy Spirit is also a part of that ‘Not leaving us’; the Father was talking to us about. Listen, Church!

The moment a repenting sinner receives Christ by Faith into his heart, the Holy Spirit immediately fulfills God’s Plan for that individual! Saints, as hard as it is to realize it, in our limited physical minds, God DOES “KNOW” each and every one of us, intimately. He has a Plan for everyone of us, because He MADE everyone of us; and God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, is carrying out that Plan here on earth. TRUTH and FACT!

When we accept Christ as the Son of God and accept the forgiveness from God becoming a Born Again Believer, God, the Holy Spirit-the third part of the Trinity, moves and completes our New Nature by regeneration. (John 3:5,6;Titus 3:5) This also includes the baptizing of the believer into the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:13), also indwelling the believer (Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 6:19), He also seals the believer (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30). Last but not least He fills the believer (Acts 2:4; 4:8; 7:55; 13:52).

Saints, that infilling lasts FOREVER!

Now Church, that doesn’t mean we are not going to be tempted or tried or corrected in our walk with the Lord, far from it! Man has a rebellious nature and wants his own way and thinks he can handle his own walk in life. But we can’t!

The enemy, Satan and our own wills, have free reign when we haven’t given our hearts to God to be lead by the Holy Spirit. The Word says we are to be lead, guided, and directed by God’s Spirit “IN” us; because we can knowingly or unknowingly quench (I Thess. 5:19) or grieve (Eph. 4:30) the Holy Spirit.

Remember Church, I John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from “ALL” unrighteousness.” “Glory!”

So Saints, as God’s Children we have a very important relationship with God’s Spirit throughout our season here on earth. How can we do this?

I believe, Pastor Hagee helps enlighten us:

“We need to be controlled by the Holy Spirit on a daily basis; we need to depend on the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin (Psalm 139: 23,24; 19:12-14) and to look to the Holy Spirit for divine power in serving Christ (Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:16,17; Ephesians 3:16).”

This isn’t a very hard task for us to do if we realize that God IS for us not against us. And always remembering that we need to:

Trust and Believe in God’s Love for us.
