Prayer and God

Good morning, Church. I’d like to ask a question today if I may. How are we praying for people; with natural reasoning or with eternity in mind? Are we putting God in a “box” and only allowing Him to work in the earthly/worldly ways; or are we “allowing”(our wills) Him to split the natural bonds to the supernatural world of TRUTH?

Seeing, hearing and moving in the natural “is” our daily lives, going beyond the natural and seeing, hearing and moving in God’s Spirit world of TRUTH is “all” of our ‘born again’ goals! But it doesn’t seem that we are making too much headway in that area does it? Is it because we aren’t as intimate with our Creator as we should be—as Jesus was while on earth doing His Father’s Plan for forever?

I believe “allowing” the Holy Spirit “in” us to really rule and reign in all situations and circumstances is steps in the right direction for His Plan. The intimacy in heart felt prayers (and fasting if necessary) brings us into the position that Jesus was in while here on earth; it brings the natural/fleshly/worldly under subjection to the supernatural “every time”; if we have the boldness and confidence in our God as we aught to have. The Word—Jesus Christ—is the “key” to that supernatural world of TRUTH.

Can we have the same confidence in our Father that Jesus has? I believe if we Trust and Believe in God’s Love for us as Jesus does we can! And Church that is “not” a head thing—it is a “heart” thing; our “spirit” thing; and our “love” thing.

Deuteronomy 6:5

“You shall love the Lord your “God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.”

Matthew 22:37

“Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

This was said in the Old Testament first then Jesus restated it in the New Testament when He told what the Greatest Commandment was:

Matthew 22: 38-40

“This is the first and great commandment and the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets”.

This is ‘The Word’ quoting the Word, Church!

So how important is praying and reading The Word? It needs to be a crucial part of our lives EVERYDAY—no matter what is happening in the world—God is still in control of His Plan. And if our hearts, souls, and minds are FIXED on God we can have the same relationship with our Father God as Jesus has and if we mix boldness and confidence in God into the equation—we can be unstoppable hands and feet for God in these last days.

I like the way A. B. Simpson put it when he talked about prayer:

(Acts 12:5: “Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.”)

“Prayer is the link that connects us with God. Prayer is the Power of our supernatural weapons. God grant us holy audacity and divine confidence. God is not wanting great men and women, but He is wanting people who will dare to prove the greatness of their God.”

     What is our prayer habit?

“When all else fails, pray.” OR “Before doing anything, pray

“The first prayer habit views prayer as the place of last resort when human abilities have run out. The second prayer habit realizes that unless God Himself empowers and directs, human strength and wisdom will never suffice.”

Powerful words from two men of God. Can we incorporate them into our way of life today? Yes, we can!
