Heavenly Wisdom

     My faith is in the Power of God, the ONLY TRUE Power there is for God’s Children.

     Greetings Church. Every morning when I fellowship and love on the Lord; He gives me the JOY of His Word. It is amazing to take a sentence or even a part of a sentence and be transported into my Fathers presence of Love.

     Today as I was reading in I Corinthians chapter two, I came across verse 5 and I had to stop and reread it. Revelation sparked! I had to read more of what God was saying/teaching through our brother Paul.

     First let me write the last part of the sentence that hit my spirit so wonderfully!

I Corinthians 2:5

     “that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God.” Totally awesome in and of itself but screams to have it explained better through more reading of the Word—God’s Word.

     I would love to write EVERY WORD down here but it would take many pages of paper and I would much rather YOU read them for yourself. So I will condense my thoughts if I may here.

     In the first part of chapter 2 in I Corinthians, Paul was explaining his feelings as he went to see the church in Corinth. He explained to them that he didn’t come to them in “excellence of speech” or of self wisdom declaring the testimony/mystery of God but he was with them in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling because he was determined that they know Jesus Christ and Him crucified! Let me quote here:

I Corinthians 2: 4-5 (Paul’s Words)

     “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power, that ‘your faith’ should not be in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God.”

     God’s Word has to be flowing through us before His Power can be used by us; because the Gospel “IS” Heavenly Wisdom. Read on: (Paul still speaking)

Verse 6:

     “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.” (Which is still happening in this age we are living in now, Church.)

Verse 7-8

     “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory.” (Luke 23:34)

     Saints, God has planned—no--ordained “EVERYTHING” for this world and His People. Even Revelations HAS to happen—Period-TRUTH!

     Let’s finish the last thought in verse 9 so we can go on to the “BEST” part of what God has for His Children. Paul quoted from the Old Testament here:

I Corinthians 2:9

     “But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (Isaiah 64:4)

     There is NO other god who loves us more than our God of Creation—Our Father in Heaven! And the wisdom of man “CANNOT” know, comprehend, understand, or even accept this TRUTH without the Wisdom of God. “God’s Wisdom transcends ‘ALL’ our thinking.”

God’s Words of TRUTH:

I Corinthians 2:10-16

     “But God has revealed them to “US” through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches ALL things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? (James 2:26) Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. (Romans 11: 33) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit Who is from God (Romans 8:15) that we might know the things that have been freely given to us “by God.” These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (Spirit to spirit-when we accept the Spirit into us we will know the Wisdom of God.) But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is “Rightly” judged by no one. For ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord what he may instruct Him?’ (Isaiah 40: 13) But “we” have the mind of Christ.” The reference to this statement is in John 15:15 and Jesus, Himself is telling us the TRUTH behind it:

John 15:15 (Jesus speaking)

     “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing: but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have ‘made know’ to you.” (Genesis 18:17 and Psalm 25:14) Praise The Lord!

     How awesome is the fact that God has allowed His Children to share in His thoughts and plans for the world!

     Saints, we share in God’s Wisdom through His Son (Proverbs 2:6) because Jesus paid the Blood Price for us. Doesn’t it make your heart leap with Joy? It does mine!

     So Church, let’s take our Faith another step forward and start walking in that Power and Authority through Christ and God’s Spirit “in” us. We can do this Brothers and Sisters.
