What Now?

Greetings Church. Reading in Colossians this morning I came across a verse that gave me an insight about what we as Christians need to do through this time of chaos in the world. When all around us is in fear and in a lot of cases people doing things that they wouldn’t normally do—like stealing, hording, disobeying the laws of the land; sometimes even Christians being compromised into positions they wouldn’t normally be in.

Fear is “NOT” of the Lord! Fear belongs to Satan and he is trying to usurp the Peace in us and the world.

2 Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power and Love and of a Sound Mind.”

Now, “EACH” one of us, as Children of God, needs to take charge of our own lives in the natural and let God’s Spirit (the Holy Spirit) “IN” us take charge of our spirit-man. (I Corinthians 15:44) Our spirit belongs to God when we accept Him and His protection; it is our “sitting on the fence 'wills'” that gets us into trouble. We need to go back and read God’s Word and listen to His Voice to get our wills in the correct position—off the middle of the fence and onto God’s side of that fence!

What is the position of the Believer?

Colossians 3:1-4

“If then you were (are being) raised with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, “not” on things on the earth. For you died (Romans 6:3-4), and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ Who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”

And just how do we accomplish this in our lives? By putting off the old man (Colossians 3: 5-11) and putting on the new man (Colossians 3:12-17). Please be diligent in reading those scriptures so we can really let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly (verse 16).

The closer we get to the Lord, the clearer we can hear from the Lord, individually and in unity with others.

We need to continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2) And

Ephesians 6:18

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication IN THE SPIRIT, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for ALL THE SAINTS!”

That, Church, is how focused our prayers should be in Christ.

But don’t forget about putting on our Armor from God, it helps us to keep safe in our walk with Him. (Ephesians 6:10-17)

Now, the answer to the question of “What Now?” is again in the Word—“Stand” fast in Christ! In Ephesians 6:10-15 that Word is given to us 3 times!!

We “can” do this Saints!     How?       By:
