And our journey through it.
Easter's Second Chance
Good morning Church. Today I’ll be taking a small part from a Daily Devotional by Bruce H. Wilkinson and the Bible as usual. The devotional hit a cord in my heart and I’d like to share what was said in part:
“As you prepare once more to read of Jesus’ crucifixion and death, remember that now, as then, God is seated on His throne. Just as He limits the boundaries of the sea He also limits the course of evil. As you find the forces of darkness closing in on your life, praise God that the Enemy can only go to a certain point. Rejoice that the reality of a situation is often not what we see but what we know by faith.”
Let’s look at Mark 14:68 (Peter deigning Jesus at Jesus’ arrest)
“But (Peter) denied it.”I don’t know or understand who you’re talking about,” he said, and went out into the entryway.”
Just like Peter we have been given a second chance straight from God’s Heart. God looks at our hearts not our fleshly mind; if He hadn’t, Peter wouldn’t have been the mighty apostle he became after Jesus’ death and resurrection, Church. When our heart is rightly on our Creator and as His Children, God’s Love is still connected and flowing with Hope and Faith in us. It’s our realization and acceptance of that Love that we have to TRUST and move in. Isn’t that what Peter did—asking for forgiveness then “MOVING” in a “Christ direction”.
The Bible is God’s Promises and Words to His Family. We are His Family, Church, and accepting those promises in Faith---Believing is the only way we’re going to make it through these end days. And make no mistake—we ARE in the last days—have been since the Cross.
This Easter don’t let the fleshly “world Easter” overshadow the real reason for the Holiday, just as with Christmas look at the “Reason for the season.”
Read the Words from the “Book of Truth, the Bible, God’s Promises to His Family! But Saint’s don’t just read “The Word” from the head (the fleshly nature) –read it from our hearts (our spirit-man) which belongs to God through Christ’s death and resurrection!!!
When Jesus comes back—and don’t doubt that He is—will He find Faith and Belief in God’s Love for us or will He find fear, disobedience, doubt, anger, hopelessness, negativeness in His People/Church; I Pray not!! But it won’t be if we don’t take steps “NOW” to resurrect and go back to our “FIRST” Love. Go back to the day we first accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. What a glorious, exciting, wonderful experience that was! We need to capture that Love again Church. We need to take that BREATH of Life that God Himself breathed into us at birth—physical and spiritual. Breath in that Pure gift of Life through His Word-Jesus Christ and His Spirit-The Holy Spirit--”in” us. And as Jesus did let’s take time alone with our Father and Creator! It starts first by repentance, Hope, Faith, Trust, and then Believing in God’s Love for us-His People-His Family. Trusting God to take us “Home” to Himself when the time for our “Breath of Life” is to return to the One Who gave us our lives, individually or in the Rapture, which ever comes first. Knowing, in our heart of hearts, He WILL complete that Promise. God NEVER lies and that Promise is for forever!!
Let God’s Love envelope our hearts again in abundance knowing also that God’s Power and Authority goes with That Love. God didn’t give us His Love and Breath of Life to selfishly hold on to it and not share it with others. What does The Word say about love and exercising the gifts with Love? Read I Corinthians chapter 13. Really get quiet and open our hearts when reading and listening to God’s Word for ourselves. (Proverbs 2:6-”For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
God’s Words are Life—Spiritual Life, the only Life that profits.
Proverbs 4: 20-22
“My son give attention to my Words incline your ear to my sayings, do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.”
How can we do this Church? By:
Trusting and Believing in God’s Love for us and then Walking in that Love!
