We know God by His Name:

     We can know God as Elyon= The Most High

     We can know God as El Shaddai=God Almighty

     We can know God as Yehovah= The Lord, the covenant-keeping God

     We can know God as Elohim= Mighty Creator of the Heavens and the Earth

     Each name is significant in revealing God to us, but the Name “Abba, Father” gives us a total TRUTH of “ALL” His virtues, attributes, power and especially His Love for us. It is a Name of closeness, intimacy and family ties—it is a Name of Eternal Love—a ‘Forever Love!’

     We were adopted into God’s Family when we went to Him to ask for forgiveness for our sins and to give our lives over to Him for safe keeping until we go to see Him Face to face. It’s called being “Born Again”; when we were made heirs with Jesus to the Father. Listen to what the Word says:

Romans 8:15

     “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

     Christ’s death and Resurrection on the Cross made it possible for us to go to our Father anytime we choose to go. The veil is gone separating us from our Creator, Father. With Jesus as our advocate and mediator we can be as close as Jesus, Himself, to a Loving Father Who gave His ALL for us.

     Church, if we can get that revelation from our hearts (which belongs to God as His Children already) to our heads and minds (which can be double-minded in the flesh) it will be a tremendous step in our relationship and closeness to our Father in heaven. God’s Word tells us how we can do this:

Deuteromy 6:5

     “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.”

Also:

Luke 10:27

     “So he answered and said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind.”

     Saints, this is an on-going process for all of us. Every day, every hour the process of keeping God in our fore-thoughts above the human fleshly thoughts that bombard us every day "IS" the narrow Path that God was talking about in His Plan for us and the world.

     So Church, we can read and know of all the Names that our God goes by, (which are many) but I believe, the Most Important Name is: ABBA, FATHER; and said with our hearts—it goes right to the Throne Room of God!!
