Wedding Band of Love
How important is the Holy Spirit in our lives? He “IS” the third part of the Trinity: God the Father; God the Son; God the Holy Spirit. The Trinity, our Trinity, is a completed circle of Love from the Father to His Creation.
There is NO end to a circle, it goes on eternally without a break, without stopping, it’s continually moving with no beginning and no end. That is what Adam and Eve had before the ‘Sin Nature’ came between man and God. For thousands of years their was a break in that circle of Love. The Wedding Band of Love was broken when Sin came into our lives and severed our communication with our Creator, the One Who created and made us. Satan came between man and God when “we” made the choice—our wills—to not listen and follow our Creator God.
Yes, God gave us our free wills; it separated us from the rest of His creation in a very special way; it permitted man, to communicate personally with our Creator, One on one, Spirit to spirit; a completed circle of Love. When it was broken by sin a veil was placed between man and God. No longer could we come into the Garden of Eden and walk freely with our God.
God knew what had to be done to bridge that gap in the Wedding Band and His circle of Love. He had to send His own Son as a ‘Blood Sacrifice’ to close AND seal that Band of Love again between man and Himself.
Church, God’s Plan for the universe is also like this Band of Love, but this Band of Love-HIS PLAN-has NEVER BEEN BROKEN. God’s Plan has been from the beginning.
Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning (John 1:1) God created the heavens and the earth.” (Acts 17:24)
When we became ‘Born Again Children of God’ God placed that Band of Love around our hearts and also on our fingers as a token-a promise that He would never leave us or forsake us. I am God’s and He is mine.
Saints, after Jesus died and before He was resurrected, He made a Promise of a ‘Helper’ to see us through until He came back for us again.
John 15:26 and 16:13
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
When we truly give our hearts to the Lord and allow God’s Spirit into our hearts/spirit, He’s given us a part of Himself—HIS LOVE. The Word says to Love as Christ Loves.
I John 4:7
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves, is born of God and knows God.” (I Thessalonians 4:9)
Church, I believe that ‘Band of Love’ is the Holy Spirit with our spirits (heart) living and abiding “in” us to lead, guide and direct us through our short journey here on earth—just as Jesus was here—so are we. Our earthly, fleshly bodies can be buffeted by Satan or our own selfishness; BUT the Spirit delivers us from the Power of the flesh. (Romans 8:2-3)
Conclusion:
Romans 8:10-11
“And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells “in” you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who dwells “in” you.”
Saints, the Holy Spirit, the Third Part of the Trinity, and God’s Wedding Band of Love “in” us, “WILL” keep us until we are at the Wedding Supper with our Groom, Jesus Christ. How glorious is that Church?
And how can this be done? By:
Trusting and Believing in God’s Love for us.
