And our journey through it.
Ask
Good morning, Church. I just finished writing on the paper entitled ‘God’s Commandments’. I had to take out a portion of that writing because I believe it has to be a separate writing altogether. It is one of my favorite verses in the Word because it connects with how my papers are all ending. Let’s see if you agree.
Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, (Proverbs 8:17) and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Jesus tells us to “Ask and it will be given.” But Church we have to know that we ‘ask in righteousness’ (our right standing with God) then when we ask in righteousness we will “know” (have faith) in what we are asking is God’s Will for us; we will have peace in our spirit—because our spirit belongs to God and He knows what is best for us. God ALWAYS “sees” the bigger picture, He “sees” the whole situation beyond the here and now. Now that Church, is where “our” TRUST in Him comes in in full force proving our Love for Him is greater than what we see in the natural or worldly or fleshly. That Saints, is the perfect, mature, faith based love that I believe God wants from His Children. We really can have that kind of TRUST in our Creator God when we allow (our wills again) our hearts to open up and believe in God’s Love for us through every and all trials, circumstances, situations—good or bad---a TOTAL Blind Trust in our Creator Father God—our “Abba Daddy”.
Can we “think” like a trusting child for God? A child is “totally” dependent on his/her parents for “ALL” his needs; being fed, being cleaned, changed, moving, being taught right from wrong—EVERYTHING for their well being. Now as a Born Again Child of God, our ‘blind trust’ needs to be put into God’s Nailed Scared Hands for the rest of our maturing process; knowing that only He can “see” our future with Him. But also knowing, as a child we “will” stumble, fall, get hurt, take wrong paths, stray, be stubborn, be unfaithful and willful, doing things we know are wrong—but doing them anyway, on and on----BUT as Children of God we have a Loving Parent with Grace and Mercy, Patience, Forgiveness, and most of all His Love for us.
But LISTEN Saints, I’m not saying we get away scot-free with disobedience; their will be a correcting Hand that needs to be used at times, but it is a Loving Hand used in Fairness and Kindness!
So Church, when we sin against God we need to recognize it for what it is SIN, and immediately, with our hearts, “ASK” for forgiveness and help for our future walk with Him. ‘Ask (in faith and believing) and you will receive!! Here it comes, Church---
