And our journey through it.
TWO WAYS OF LIFE
These two verses in Matthew 7 are quoted time and time again. But have we really stopped to think about what they are saying? Let’s read: (taken from Ferrar Fenton’s translation)
Matthew 7: 13-14 (Jesus speaking)
Vs. 13 “Enter through the narrow gate; because the gate is wide, and the road well paved, that leads to destruction; and through it the majority go.”
Vs. 14 “How narrow the gate, and difficult the path, that leads to life! And they are few who find it!
Saints, take a look at this world and “All” the people in it. How many are in it? Millions-Billions-Trillions? EACH and every one of them have a soul (spirit) that is precious to God, and He wants EVERY ONE of them to be with Him as His Family. God wouldn’t have started this world if He didn’t want His Family with him for always. He wouldn’t have allowed His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the ultimate Price with His Death and Resurrection if He didn’t Love His Creation—Mankind. I know sometimes our minds can’t comprehend or grasp this thought---but nevertheless it is the TRUTH----GOD’S TRUTH!
Now, the way to God has become a difficult and narrow path to walk on---but “NOT” impossible! Of these trillions of people there may only be a few who find that “ONE PATH”, because of our enemy, Satan, or our own willful, selfish hearts. We can turn to the easy, wide, paved path to get through this life on earth or we can keep our eyes on God and take that narrow, lighted, Jesus walked path to get us through this life. It’s your call and only your call! MAKE IT NOW!
God gave “all” of us a stirring in our hearts for Him. We were born with it! God also gave us our own wills and the ability to “choose” what we want to do in and with the life He gave us. GOD WILL NOT CHANGE OUR WILLS!!!! He wants us to come to Him freely with our own hearts!!!
Now to do this, we have to separate ourselves from the majority of the world in our thoughts and actions towards our God and Father. A lot of the world’s people are living for themselves (wide path of destruction) and not looking or following God’s Path (narrow path of eternal life) with our Father and Creator.
Jesus even says it will be difficult---but not impossible. If we trust and believe God we “will” make it all the way up that narrow path, because God will be with us every step of the way! We will go through trials, tribulations, heartaches, difficult situations, but our steadfast belief and Love for our God will not only keep us on that narrow path but in the END have unspeakable joy in God’s Family for eternity!
Church, we need to stand firm and strong and tall for the Glory of God through His Son Jesus Christ. There is no other way!
Remember:
TRUST AND BELIEVE GOD
