And our journey through it.
TRUE AND FALSE TEACHINGS PART 2
In my last writing I spoke of the next three verses in Matthew seven under true and false teachings. I believe these three verses tell about what happens to the false teachers. And verses 24-27 tells us how we, as Children of God, are supposed to stand in the days here on earth to go into “The TRUE Way Into The Kingdom.”
Matthew 7:21-23 (Jesus speaking)
“Not everyone who says to Me, Master! Master! Will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but only those who do the will of My Father Who is in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Master! Master! Have we not preached in Your Name? and have we not cast out demons in Your Name? and in Your Name have we not done many wonders?’ And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you traders in lawlessness!’ (Ferrar Fenton)
There will be many who, in these last days are perverting the Word of God into a natural, worldly, selfish thing. Teaching and directing from the physical mind what is given in the Spiritual Heart from God is wrong and false.
The Word of God says “We will know the Voice of God”. (John 10: 3-4)
As Children of God we have God’s Spirit “in” us speaking to our hearts from God. Therefore, we KNOW righteousness from unrighteousness. Willingly, knowingly abiding in God’s Love through the Holy Spirit is the ‘True Way Into The Kingdom’.
Now, the last four verses of Jesus’ teaching in Matthew chapter 5-7 sums up how we are to be living in our days here on earth.
Matthew 7: 24-27 ( Jesus speaking)
Vs. 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
Vs. 25 “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it “DID NOT” fall, for it was founded on the Rock. (Christ Jesus)
Vs. 26 “Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand;
Vs. 27 “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall” (NKJ)
Think about it Church, are we “REALLY” standing on the Rock Christ Jesus or are we floundering in the waves of our own willfulness? Hanging onto our Rock, Christ Jesus, is the only way into God’s family for eternity. We can do this Church, by keeping our spirits, souls, and bodies in line and focused on our future with our Heavenly Father. Keeping on that narrow path with Jesus right beside us. Get intimate in God’s Love so we can be a shining example just as Jesus was in His stay here on earth.
The last two verses of chapter 7 was the response to Jesus’ sermon:
Vs. 28 “And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,
Vs. 29 for He taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.”
Saints, what is our response going to be for His teachings? It should be a hardy, “Yes, and Amen!”
Romans 15: 4
Vs. 4 “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide, we might have hope.” (NIV)
